In an expansion of an existing law that requires photograph processors to report child porn, the Illinois governor signed a law this past week expanding this requirement to computer technicians working on customer PCs. This law covers technicians working in stores, as well as technicians making on-site visits. The ACLU has issued a statement raising their concerns in requiring untrained persons to make judgement calls as to what constitutes child porn.
